sun sets fire

the sky is on fire, the sun is setting.

an old childhood friend of mine took me sightseeing around my “hometown” (actually, the town where I grew up), sometimes I just cannot believe it has already been seven years since I've moved to buenos aires, back in 2006. time really seems to fly faster as you get older..
we were on the road when I asked my friend to stop the car, I just had to take a photo of that beautiful horse that was standing on the other side of the fence, still, radiant.

my family and I went out to dinner and the sky was on fire, even the car lights... everything was on fire. I really miss those sunsets.

(note to self)

the sound of leaves surrendering to destiny. autumn has come.

time has stopped in the air
   and I'm holding my breath,
   the world is still.
words are suspending in the air,
   gravitating in the room
but silence holds me, embraces me.
I look at the window, and I see the light coming in.
I can feel it's warmth on my skin.

I've had a rough week, does a thing such as photographer's block even exist? I am not quite sure.. I must say that I'm rather skeptical about it. I've been procrastinating, and even procrastinating procrastination itself, if it even makes sense.
I was about to get some photos edited when I just felt like drawing and using an almost brand new watercolor palette I bought last year and yet I'd only used once...
I may have not got the work done but at least I received a pleasant visit from this watercolored little fellow.
